The Calendar of Nyarzir
Indigenous cultures around the world observe calendars based on Natural Time, which takes into account stellar and earthly influences when measuring time. In such systems of magical time, each day takes on a living spirit of its own, with an element, glyph and Kami presiding over it. Being based on the Yi Jing which are the decrees of Heaven and Earth, the Nyarzirian Calendar is a map of the Starry realm of Nyarzir itself, which the Ninzuwu walk upon as if solid ground.
Practitioners use the Yi Jing Apocrypha of Gengis Khan to stay in-sync with the Natural Time of the Nyarzirian Calendar throughout the year. Through applying the natural progression of the Yi Jing to the breathing of the Cosmos, we arrive at an Earth year divided into 8 Months with 45 Days within each month. The New Year (Zuho) begins with the Fire Trigram, the Flame of Amaterasu Ohomikami.
