The Dream of the Fahmu is a necessary part of the Ninzuwu initiatory structure and spiritual practice. It offers the Ninzuwu practitioner a deeper opportunity to connect with nature and trees in the form of communion. However, the Ivory Tablets of the Crow admonishes us to work on purity and refine our hearts for this to occur, as it states::
“Know that when thou have fixed the mind towards the mystical journey of dreams, you must heed the practices of purity.”
The first step towards this purity, as mentioned in the Ivory Tablets, comes with understanding how to strengthen our astral bodies. Although, the Dream of the Fahmu is often associated with communion with the world of nature, most of the information written about this plane, has much to do with practices that sustain astral awareness. Within the Ivory Tablet’s section dedicated to the Fahmu, we find most of the information within this part of the text talks about drawing energy from the air and through the breathe.
On the other side of reality, the practices found in the Ivory Tablets of the Crow concerning the Fahmu are connected to the technology of nature spirits. This is confirmed for us in the Ivory Tablets, where it states:
“The Fahmu speak through things that exist in the field, also in the trees.”
The Dream of the Fahmu offers practical methods of purifying the heart and establishing a connection with nature because of it. Ninzuwu teaches us that plants and trees are natural altars unto the spirit world. They also absorb negative emotions. There are many lessons in the Dream of the Fahmu yet to be explored.
